What Can I Compost?

-Old bread, donuts, cookies, crackers, pizza crust, noodles…anything made out of flour!

- Grains

- Paper napkins

- Post-it notes

- Hay

- Leaves

- Herbs

- Plants

- Tea bags and coffee grinds

- Shredded newspaper

- Egg shells

- Cow manure

- Animal cage cleanings 

- Shredded cardboard

- Leather wallets

- Lint from clothes dryer

- Wool socks

- Nail clippings

- Pencil shavings

- Latex rubber such as marigold gloves, hot water bottle and latex condoms

- Vacuum cleaner bag contents

- Animal fur

 

- Meat or meat waste (bones, fat, skin etc.)**

- Fish or fish waste**

- Dairy products – cheese, butter, cottage cheese, yogurt etc.**

-Grease and oils of any kind**

- And the list goes on and on!

 

**= a good idea with these products is freeze them up until your garbage day. That way it doesnt smell and attract animals!
